Review: Shea Moisture Coconut & Hisbiscus

Hello!!  I wanted to share my input on this product that i’ve been using for a little while off and on.

I’ve been natural for 2 years and 5 months. I did not transition as most. I decided to do the big chop instead. Through my short time being natural I am still trying to find the right product that will work well for me. Sad to say this one is not it. I had the shampoo, the conditioner, and the curling cream. When I first started using Shea Moisture my hair was still a twa (teenie weenie afro), so this was the first ever product that I used on my hair.

The shampoo

I liked the shampoo it didn’t make my hair feel weird during or after washing. It made my hair feel soft and it smelled good, but it dried out my scalp.

The Conditioner

Was really good for my hair made it smooth and manageable but also dried out my scalp very badly

The Curling Cream

I loved this product even after I stop using the shampoo and conditioner I continued to use this until my hair got to a certain length. It really defined my curls and the shine it gave my hair was wonderful. Oddly enough it did not affect my scalp.

At my local Wal-Mart this cost basically $10.00 per product, so for the amount of money that it does cost me personally I was not happy about the shampoo & conditioner, but really happy about the curling cream
